Doyle Brunson -I'm sure you know him. Who else don't? He is the poker legend and one of the best poker players of all time. With a total WSOP & Circuit Earnings of $2,945,053, he also has the record for holding 10 WSOP Bracelets, and 34 cashes. Doyle Brunson was a Master Degree in Business from Hardin-Simmon University, and play in the biggest cash games in Las Vegas. He has also written books about poker, namely Super/System and Super/System 2.


Doyle was born in the August 10, 1993 at Longworth,Texas. He is actually one of the first players of the World Series Of Poker Europe, where he has earned his fame and popularity, plus un-comparable skill in playing poker. For the whole record, he is already playing for more than 60 and above years. He was also the very first player to earn $1 million in poker tournaments including his 10 WSOP bracelets throughout his career. He has also won a record for winning the WSOP four consecutive years, along with then poker players Bill Boyd. In the year 2006, the Bluff Magazine voted Doyle Brunson to be the #1 most influential person in the industry and world of poker. This has brought him to the Poker Hall Of Fame up until now, and been idolized by many poker legends in the making.

The reason behind Doyle Brunson, before entering the world of poker, starts when his college basketball career ended up right before his first season at NBA. When he was injured, he was then advised to rest, unsure when to be able to come back playing the game. This has led him to play poker, and made him a legend and an underdog in the said career. He was also known as the Texas Dolly as his nickname.

Brunson has been honored by two Texas Hold'Em hands named after him, one hand, a ten and a two of any suit. This is because he has made history by winning the No Limit Hold'Em event at the WSOP in two consecutive years by having a winning hand of a full house (1976 – 1977)

The poker legend nonetheless, considered to be the greatest among others in the poker world. His WSOP record of holding 10 WSOP bracelets had been recently defeated by Phil Hellmuth when he won his 11th WSOP Bracelet.
