Daniel Negreanu, also known as "Kid Poker" was born July 26, 1974 in the region of Toronto, Ontario Canada. He first dreamed to be a snooker player when he was 15 years old, until he learned how to play poker.

When he was studying, he couldn't support anymore his schooling. So he decided to drop out of school and began his life as a rounder player at some local charity casinos where he first played. One of these casinos that he first played at is Casino Country.

He also won in the year 2007, the Aussie Millions main event where he was the tournaments first season winner of the Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament. He became a professional poker player in 1997, but was a former world class backgammon player and a tennis player as well.
